Opening
The opening must be square, plumb and the same size as the door.
Apply Face
The above view shows the 2 x 4 facing as it should be applied to the jambs and header. Nail securely. If masonry construction, anchor the 2 x 4 facing with bolts, anchors or other suitable means which will provide a flush surface. Facing on side jambs should extend above the opening the same amount as required for headroom clearance. Torsion spring models, or when an operator is used on the door, requires a center pad for anchoring.
Cutting Vertical Track
To reduce the headroom clearance requirement, vertical tracks of certain sets must be cut.
